Stephen Jesse Jackson (born April 5, 1978 in Houston, Texas) is a pro basketball player for the NBA's Indiana Pacers.

Stephen Jackson was drafted 43rd overall in the 1997 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns but never played an NBA game until the 2000/2001 season with the New Jersey Nets. In 2001 he was signed by the San Antonio Spurs and in 2002/2003 helped the Spurs win their second NBA Championship averaging about twelve points per game and thirteen in the playoffs. In 2003 he was signed by the Atlanta Hawks and stayed there for one year when he averaged eighteen points and had his best season before in the offseason when he was traded to the Indiana Pacers for Al Harrington.

Before his NBA days Jackson had a brief stint with the Sydney Kings in Australia's National Basketball League. He did not play college basketball and played professionally in Venezuela, the Dominican Republic and the Continental Basketball Association. Jackson prepped at Lincoln High School (Port Arthur, Texas) before transferring to Oak Hill Academy (Virginia) where he earned All-America honors in 1996.

He received a 30-game suspension from the league after going into the stands and brawling with Detroit Pistons supporters during the November 19, 2004 disturbance at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
